20. Keininger & Obergfell 400 Day Clock. 3.5" Dial

Received as a gift on 5/1/2007. Replaced the torsion spring, oiled and adjusted. No disassembly required.

19. Regula Cuckoo Clock. 2.13" Dial

Except for the external trim, this Cuckoo clock is very similar to #18. I received it as a gift on 6/18/2005. After replacing the missing hands, the clock ran perfectly.

18. Regula Cuckoo Clock. 2.13" Dial

I got this Cuckoo Clock at an Estate Sale in Long Beach, CA on 4/15/2005. I replaced both missing weights and the worn out bellows. No other rework required.

17. Unknown Maker Cuckoo "Germany." 5" Dial

I got this Cuckoo clock at an Estate Sale in Long Beach, CA on 10/8/2004. I replaced two missing chains, two worn out bellows and the bird. Also did some minor case work.

16. Gilbert Mantel Clock. 4.75" Dial

I got this clock at an Estate Sale in Long Beach, CA on 7/9/2004. It needed a complete disassembly, cleaning and rebushing of some gear shaft holes.

15. Alaron Shelf Clock. 5.75" Dial

Purchased at an estate sale in Long Beach, CA on 6/11/2004. It appeared to be working, but kept time very erratically (sometimes it would gain a lot of time and sometimes it would lose a lot of time). The problem was finally traced to a missing taper pin that connected the friction drive gear on the minute hand to the minute hand shaft. I was able to replace the pin without disassembling the works (very tricky). The clock now runs well and keeps good time.

14. E Ingraham Shelf Clock. 4.75" Dial

I got this clock at an estate sale in Long Beach, CA on 6/3/2004. It needed just some minor adjustment and oiling.

13. New Haven Shelf Clock, "Clyde" 4.75" Dial

This clock, which is over 100 years old, was acquired from an estate sale in Long Beach, CA on 4/16/2004. The clock is equipped with an alarm bell that can be set to go off up to 12 hours ahead of the current hour (minutes are just a guess). The only fixes needed were to provide a gold decal for the front glass, which had been replaced at some time in the past, and it also needed some minor case work. The clock runs good.

12. Seth Thomas Cuckoo Clock. 3.25" Dial

Acquired from an estate sale in Long Beach, CA. Required replacement of bellows (2) and back door latches. Clock is otherwise clean and in good running condition.

11. Bulova Carriage Clock. 5.75" Dial

Acquired from an estate sale in Long Beach, CA on 1/8/2004. This clock was not running, and the cause was traced to a jammed shaft on the first gear in the strike train. The fix was to disassemble the clock and install a new bushing that was long enough to provide support for the shaft. All other parts were in good shape.

10. New Haven Tambour Mantel Clock. 5" Dial

Received as a gift on 12/25/2003. Required only minor adjustment and light oiling.

9. Urgos Westminster Wall Clock "Decor." 8" Dial

This wall clock required a new suspension spring. The bearings were in good shape and needed only a light oiling.

8. Seth Thomas "No. 2" Tambour Mantel Clock. 3.75" Dial

This Smaller size Tambour clock was acquired from an estate sale in Long Beach, CA on 10/25/2003. The power spring was broken and needed replacement. Also, the friction spring between the minute hand and its shaft had become loose and needed re-tightening. The works was otherwise in good condition and did not require dis-assembly.

7. Unknown Maker Cuckoo w/musical movement. 3.25" Dial

I got this Cuckoo from an estate sale in Long Beach, CA. It required replacement of one missing weight and chain and both bellows. The case also needed some repair. The works was in good shape and the clock runs well. Besides the usual "Cuckoos" on the hour and half hour, it plays a few notes from a well known German beer drinking song.

6. Sessions Cathederal Clock. 4.5" Dial

This clock was acquired on 8/15/2003 by ebay auction from a seller in Richmond, Virginia. It was a real challenge to get it into working order. Several of the bearings were out of round and the clock needed a complete disassembly and bushing of the elongated holes. The case was also damaged and needed repair. It is now in good working condition.

5. Gilbert Mantel Clock. 5" Dial

I acquired this clock from an ebay auction on 9/10/2003. The seller lived in St. Charles, Missouri. All bearings were in good shape. The clock works needed a dip and blow dry cleaning.

4. New Haven Tambour Mantel Clock. 5" Dial

I received this clock as a gift on 9/1/2002. It required a dip clean and blow dry as well as some minor case work to bring it back to life.

3. Sessions "Banker" Mantel Clock. 4.75" Dial

My third clock was purchased on 8/22/2002 from an antique dealer in Holister (Branson) Missouri. The clock required no major rework to run properly.

2. Seth Thomas Tambour Mantel Clock. 5.75" Dial

My second clock was purchased on 8/22/2001 from "The Center for Antiques" in San Antonio, Texas. This is one of the few clocks in my collection that required no repairs or casework. It is in perfect running condition.

This was my first acquisition. I got it on 8/6/2000 from an Antique Dealer in Long Beach, California. It required a complete tear down, cleaning and re-bushing.
